1. What’s the most common misconception about organic skincare?

That organic skin care will not produce any results. As long as a product contains enough active therapeutic ingredients at the optimum level, the product will produce good results.

2. If I have no real allergies to regular skincare, why should I switch to organic?

A high proportion of skincare products that you apply onto your skin end up in your body by entering into the bloodstream. Besides, more pesticides are used on crops and some of them have particularly nasty side effects on human beings.

4. Do not buy something just because it is organic – it needs to work too.

6. How does your skin care works for Asian skins that tends to be oilier and more prone to dehydration and pimple breakout?

I have personally had oily skin prone to breakouts for most of my life so it was important to me to produce something organic and ethical for oilier skins. Many of us have oily skins well into our adult years thus I feel that it is important to create an anti-aging product for oily skin. This is why we produced the Purifying Face Treatment Oil (for oily/acne skin). Retinol Palmitate within the product is proven to fight the signs of aging.

Pure Lochside products are oil based and oil helps to dissolve oil. To make a cream you need an emulsifier and these can sometimes clog the pores as they don’t always sink well into the skin. People with oily skin often tend to strip the skin with harsh sulphate based products. This will only worsen the condition as the skin ends up producing more sebum to compensate, as the skins natural barrier has been interfered with. It is more beneficial for oily skin to use an oil product. The Purifying Face Treatment Oil contains a balancing formulation designed to regulate and heal scarring.

If you have never used a completely natural product before, it is advisable to start using the Purifying Face Treatment Oil at night. After 4 weeks you can then use it in the daytime.
