Ingredients Definition
Benzyl Alcohol - Ingredient in various essential oils. Pure nature-identical benzyl alcohol is used to preserve natural cosmetics
Capryloyl Glycine – A natural molecule derived from oat, sunflower, coconut, and palm seeds. Has excellent anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties.
Lauryl Betaine - A gentle cleansing agent, extracted from plants.
Cetearyl Alcohol - This is not the typical alcohol we usually think of (ethyl alcohol and ethanol), but rather a waxy substance acquired from plants, which improves the structure of the cosmetic product. Cetearyl alcohol gently coats the skin with a thin protective layer that minimises the loss of moisture from the skin by evaporation.
Cetearyl Glucoside – A natural emulsifier, which ensures a stabile emulsion of oil-based and water-based ingredients. Made from Cetearyl alcohol and glucose
Chlorophylin (CI 75810) - A natural green pigment, extracted from the green plant Medicago sativa.
Decyl Glucoside - A natural, gentle cleansing agent, derived from plants.
Glycerin* - A natural skin moisturiser, derived from organic vegetable oils. Glycerin has high water-binding capabilities that allow to draw and absorb water from the air. Glycerine helps the skin to retain moisture.
Lecithin - A waxy substance derived from soy beans, which has water-binding properties. In cosmetics it is used as a natural moisturiser, antioxidant, and catalyst to supply deeper layers of skin with active ingredients.
Potassium Cocoate* - Coconut soap, which is made by the saponification of coconut oil with potassium alkali. Potassium alkali creates natural liquid soaps, while sodium alkali creates bar soaps
Potassium Oleate* - Olive oil based soap, which is made by the saponification of olive oil with potassium alkali.
Potassium Palm Kernelate - A gentle cleansing and re-fatting agent, derived from palm kernels. Cleanses and cares for skin.
Sodium Salicylate - Sodium salt of salicylic acid. See also: salicylic acid. Acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. In natural cosmetics it is used as a mild preservative. (Anti-cellulite cream)
Silica - A natural powder, which is similar to quartz in molecular structure. Aids in stabilising the consistence of the cosmetic product.
Stearic Acid – A natural fatty acid, made from vegetable oils. Gently coats the skin with a protective layer and reduces the evaporation of moisture. Gives body to cosmetic product.
